Most of our test lab environments may not have elaborate security setups, and this helps us get our work done sooner. However, if you have a security-conscious lab admin, you may find yourself unable to perform such simple tasks as connecting to your VMware and UCS KVM Consoles.
If you are unable to access your console sessions, verify that the following ports are open in your environment:
902 for vSphere VM Console
2068 for UCS KVM Console
Alternatively, if you setup a JumpBox system into your lab, you can access the consoles that way…providing that Microsoft Remote Desktop connectivity is not blocked as well. 🙂
